Two different things on one shelf
Edibles and CBD get grouped together because neither involves smoking, but they do very different jobs, and mixing them up is the most common misunderstanding we correct at the counter.
| THC edibles | CBD |
| What it does | A full, strong high | Relaxation and body relief with little to no high |
| Onset | Slow — often 45–90 minutes, sometimes longer on a full stomach | Gentle, gradual |
| How long | Several hours, longer than smoking | Milder and shorter |
| Who it suits | People who want a long, deep evening and can wait for it | Sleep, aches, winding down, and anyone who doesn't want to be stoned |
Our brownies come up constantly in reviews, and our CBD gummies are what we hand people who want the calm without the trip.
The one rule that matters: take a dose, then wait a full two hours before even thinking about more. Nothing is happening at the 40-minute mark and that is completely normal. Every bad edible story in history is someone who topped up at minute 45 and then had both doses arrive at once.
Why edibles catch people out
Smoking gives you feedback in about a minute, so you can steer. Edibles give you nothing for the best part of an hour, then arrive all at once and stay for hours. Eaten THC is also processed differently by the body, which is why an edible can feel considerably stronger than the equivalent smoked.
None of which is a reason to avoid them. It's a reason to start low, eat something first, and have somewhere comfortable to be when it lands — which is where a lounge helps rather than a hotel room.
CBD, and what it's actually for
CBD is the option for people who want the useful parts without the high. Guests reach for our gummies mostly for sleep, for physical tension, and for unwinding at the end of a long day without losing the evening.
It's also the right answer for a very specific and common situation: one person in a group doesn't want to get high but doesn't want to sit there with nothing either. CBD plus a cocktail from the bar handles that neatly.
The waiting problem, solved
An edible needs somewhere to be for the hour it takes to arrive, and a hotel room is a poor choice for that hour. Ours is a lounge with a 4K cinema room and a PS5 Pro, plus a bar running coffee, tea, cocktails and cold beer around the clock.
Put a film on, order something, and let it happen on its own schedule. If it turns out stronger than you wanted: water, something sweet, a comfortable seat, and time. It always passes.
